Will Call Orders

With Kodaris Commerce, you have the ability to customize the shipvias, or shipping methods, you offer customers at checkout. The shipping methods available on your website are based solely on what your company supports, and you can add as many options as you’d like. 

A common shipvia that distributors offer their customers is Will Call, also known as Customer Pick-Up. This shipvia is available to include as a shipping option at checkout on your commerce website.

Many customers prefer to have shipping choices, including the flexibility to pick up their order themselves. Offering Will Call as part of your shipping options can set you apart from your competitors and provide a well-rounded experience that caters to all types of customer preferences. 

If you choose to enable Will Call, you can assign a cost to this method or set the cost to $0. Below is an example of how Will Call will appear to a customer at checkout. Once a shipping method is chosen by a customer, it will display as a separate line item in the Order Totals section. In this example, the cost of the Will Call/Pick-Up option is free, so it is showing $0.00 under Shipping & Handling.

If you have multiple stores or warehouses, customers will be able to choose the pick-up location after selecting Will Call/Pick-Up as their shipping option at checkout. 

Setting Up Will Call as a Shipvia

Shipping methods are configured in your Kodaris Operations Portal and correspond to the shipvias set up in your ERP. To enable Will Call as a shipvia, your team can leverage our extensive library of how-to documentation and videos, or the Kodaris support team is able to do this on your behalf. 

The Shipping Methods screen is where shipvias are configured in the Operations Portal. On this screen, you can set the code associated with the shipvia in your ERP, the name of the shipping method that will display on your website, the type of shipping method, the base charge of the shipping method, if applicable, and more.
