Operations System - Customize "Source" Selection on Opportunities

1. Navigate to "System"

   You can customize the Opportunity "Source" dropdown to include selections relevant to your workflow. To begin, navigate to the "System" section in the Operations Portal.

   

2. Click "Settings"

   Then, click on "Settings". In order to access and edit settings, you will need to be set up either as an "administrator" or a "superuser", or have the following role: "settingEdit".

   

3. Search for "jobSources"

   In the "Search..." field, enter "jobSources" to search for the setting.

   

4. Click on the more details icon

   Then, click on the more details icon to view its details.

   

5. Click "Value"

   Click the "Value" field customize the job sources.

   

6. Update the job sources

   Enter the options to be displayed in the drop-down menu. Use a comma without spaces to separate each value, and also place the value in quotation marks.

   

7. Click "Save"

   Then, click the "Save button" to save the changes.

   

8. Go to an opportunity and click "Source"

   To verify the addition of the dropdown option, go more details of an "Opportunity" and click "Source" to expand the dropdown menu.

   

9. Verify the updated sources

   Verify the updated selections.
